Mabe pearls are half-cultured blister pearls grown attached to the inside of oyster shells. Most commercial Mabe pearls have a shell backing on the reverse side, sealed smooth for setting. This is a normal natural-cultured structure.


These are high quality Mabe pearls with a beautiful colour and lustre, they would look lovely either singly or with several different colours and sizes set in silver as a pendant.


These pearls have a slightly curved back as can be seen from the side photo of number 4.


Number 4 is reduced as the shell back has come away partially, this can be sealed back with a bit of glue.


Each item is natural, there may be slight variations in colour, size, and finish may occur, this adds to the unique nature of every piece.


Care instructions

  • Wearing Tip: 'Last on' and 'First off'.

  • Store in a dry place.

  • Avoid contact with water, perfumes, and harsh chemicals.

  • Remove before swimming, showering, or exercising.

  • Clean gently with a soft polishing cloth.

  • Pearls are natural and the nacre may wear or chip over time if in contact to perfume, chlorine etc. or due to rough handling and exposure to abrasives.
